Incorporated in 2007, Emu Nickel was formed to farm-in to Image Resources’ extensive portfolio of nickel projects in the Eastern Goldfields and Forrestania-Southern Cross nickel provinces and in turn allow Image to focus on its core mineral sand projects.
The Company's objective is to discover high-value nickel sulphide deposits in Australia by exploring its portfolio of projects in order to create wealth for its shareholders. Emu aims to achieve this objective by the application of sound geoscientific and commercial criteria and, where appropriate, by partnering with other companies which have the skills and financial resources to add value to Emu Nickel’s projects.

Emu Nickel NL (ASX:EMU) announce that three diamond drill holes (totalling 1,359 metres) have been completed at the Emu Lake nickel project, 70km north east of Kalgoorlie. The drilling was designed to test multiple electromagnetic (EM) conductor targets in three areas at Binti South, some 500m to 1000m south of the Binti Gossan zone.

Emu Nickel (ASX:EMU) Quarterly Activities Report For Period Ending 31 March 2010
Emu Nickel NL (ASX:EMU) has completed first pass soil sampling at its 100%-owned Barlee South uranium prospect situated 200km NNE of Southern Cross. The sampling targeted an area of anomalous radiometric responses evident in regional survey data. Uranium values up to 823ppm (0.97kg U3O8 per tonne) have been obtained from this sampling, outlining three anomalous areas within a clay pan and lake embayment on the edge of Lake Barlee as shown in the map below (see the link at the bottom of the release). The sample spacing ranged from 200m x 200m to 200m x 400m.

Emu Nickel NL (ASX:EMU) Diamond drilling has been completed at the Emu Lake Joint Venture north-east of Kalgoorlie (Xstrata Nickel earning 662/3% by spending A$3.25M by September 2010 and Emu Nickel NL earning 331/3%). Three diamond drill holes; ELD041A, ELD042A and ELD044 were completed during October 2009. Assay results have been returned for ELD042A confirming the presence of a new nickel sulphide occurrence at Binti South, about 1 km south of the Binti Gossan.
Emu Nickel NL (ASX:EMU) Diamond drilling at the Emu Lake joint venture 70km northeast of Kalgoorlie (Emu Nickel earning 33 1/3% and Xstrata Nickel earning 66 2/3%) has intersected nickel sulphides to the north, south and within the Binti Gossan Zone, indicating that this mineralisation remains open to the north and identifying a potential new nickel sulphide position 300m to the south which is open at depth.
