Aragon Resources Limited (ASX:AAG) ("Aragon") advises that on 21 February 2011 it received a copy of Westgold Resources Limited (ASX:WGR) ("Westgold")'s Bidder's Statement under their proposed off-market takeover bid. A copy of the Bidder's Statement was released to ASX on the same date.

Wall Street closed flat yesterday after the market rallied for two days. Traders turned cautious before the third quarter earnings kick off. Alcoa (NYSE:AA), the first company to unveil its earnings, posted a better-than-expected result with third quarter net income of US$77 million, after three consecutive quarters of losses.

Wall Street continued its gains for a fifth day on Thursday on some upbeat economic data and corporate guidance. The Commerce Department's report showed a sign of consumer spending pickup as US trade volume and imports surged. A separate report said jobless claims fell to 550,000 in the past week.
