Kirin Brewery Company, Ltd. (TSE: 2503/ US: NBWY) was formally established in 1907 with a history as a brewer stretching back more than a hundred years. Manufacturer and retailer of beer, non-alcoholic beverages, dairy products, pharmaceuticals and agricultural produce. The Group also distributes Coca-Cola, Scotch whiskey, French wine, brandy and champagne. Beer accounted for 70% of 2000 revenues; soft drinks and other drinks, 20% and pharmaceuticals, engineering and other, 10%.
