(TSE: 4516) The Company's principal activity is to specialize in the development, manufacture and sale of ethical drugs, especially for the treatment of contemporary diseases such as cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, urological, inflammatory and allergic diseases. The operations are carried out through two divisions: Pharmaceuticals and Foodstuff. The major products of the Company consist of nervous and respiratory drugs, cardiovascular and metabolic drugs, urological drugs, gastrointestinal drugs, anticancer drugs as well as other drugs. Pharmaceuticals (nervous and respiratory drugs, metabolic drugs) accounted for 83% of fiscal 2002 revenues and Foodstuff, 17%.
