Daihen Corporation is a Japan-based manufacturer involved in three business segments. The Electrical Equipment segment manufactures, sells and repairs various transformers, power receiving and distribution facilities, switches, and monitoring and control systems, among others. Through its subsidiaries, it also installs transformers, and power receiving and distribution facilities, and also manufactures and sells electrical equipment in overseas markets. The Welding and Mechatronics segment supplies electrical welding machines, plasma cutting machines, industrial air cleaners, industrial robots and others. This segment, through its subsidiaries, is engaged in the welding works, as well as the manufacture and sale of welding materials and the inspection and maintenance of electrical welding machines, plasma cutting machines and industrial robots. The Semiconductor segment offers high frequency power sources and transfer robots to semiconductor manufacturing equipment makers.
