Sydney, June 10, 2009 AEST (ABN Newswire) - ABN Newswire in conjunction with Structured Programme Services (SPS) can assist companies to obtain a 50% refund for expenditure incurred in the development of export markets for goods, specified services and industrial know-how.
First-time claimants can apply for a two-year grant covering the previous two financial years. Refunds are based on 50% of the amount of eligible expenditure incurred above $10,000, allowing a minimum grant of $5,000, up to a maximum grant of $200,000.
You do not need to export to receive a grant in the first two years. In subsequent years, the maximum grant is based on a sliding scale related to export earnings.
To apply, you must fall into these categories:
- You are a Company with an ABN incorporated in Australia, or you carry on business in Australia, providing the percentage of Australian content of your exported product meet eligible criteria. Companies who provide eligible internal or external services may also apply.
- Your Company has an annual income of under A$50 million.
- You are a Resident of Australia.
- You are a partnership carrying on business in Australia which is regulated in accordance with the law of a State or Territory.

Eligible expenditure is based on those expenses incurred primarily for the purpose of CREATING or SEEKING export opportunities, or by INCREASING DEMAND for supply of eligible services outside Australia.
Claims can be lodged only on an Austrade claim form, and must be lodged between 1 July and 30 November after the grant year in question.
