Beach Energy Limited (ASX:BPT) (PINK:BEPTF) has obtained excellent results from the first two wells drilled of its 16 well operated program in the Western Flank area.

Drillsearch Energy Limited (ASX:DLS) (PINK:DRLLF) is pleased to announce that the PEL 91 Joint Venture (Beach Energy 40% and operator / Drillsearch 60%) is mobilising the Ensign #18 drilling rig to the Hanson-1 drilling location. The rig is expected to arrive by the end of the week. The rig will be transported into the Western Flank area via the Kudnari Bridge over the Cooper Creek and into PEL 91.

Beach Energy Limited (ASX:BPT) (PINK:BEPTF) and its joint venture partner San Leon Energy (LON:SLE) advise that they have commenced an 840 square kilometre 3D seismic survey in the Durresi Block, offshore Albania.

Beach Energy Limited (ASX:BPT) (PINK:BEPTF) has commenced a major oil drilling program of up to 26 wells on the Western flank of the Cooper basin, with immediate success. The program has the potential to boost the company's reserves by as much as six million barrels of oil (MMbbl) which equates to approximately 9 per cent of reserves at 30 June 2010.

Beach Energy Limited (ASX:BPT) (PINK:BEPTF) announces it has acquired Senex Energy Limited's (ASX:SXY) (formerly Victoria Petroleum NL) 20% stake in Impress Energy Limited (ASX:ITC), allowing Beach to commence procedures for the compulsory acquisition of all remaining Impress shares.

Beach Energy Limited (ASX:BPT) (PINK:BEPTF) advises it now has a relevant interest in Impress Energy Ltd (ASX:ITC) in excess of 75%, as Impress's largest remaining institutional shareholder continues to sell into Beach's 8.5 cents per share offer. This has also been supported by a large retail shareholder selling its shareholding in Impress on Monday.

Drillsearch Energy Limited (ASX:DLS) (PINK:DRLLF) announce that Beach Energy Limited (ASX:BPT) (PINK:BEPTF) has confirmed that the planned drilling of five exploration wells in PEL 91 is to commence in early March 2011. PEL 91 is located in the Cooper-Eromanga Basins' Western Flank Oil Fairway in South Australia and is jointly owned by Drillsearch (60%) and Beach Energy Ltd (40% - Operator).
